Zante, also often known as Zakynthos, is the most southerly of the Ionian Islands and one of the most popular Greek islands.
The first picture above, is the most popular Navagio the wreck beach. Unfortunately, the view point was strictly limited in 2022 (maybe is still now), there are red tapes all over, fance around the cliff, trashes, and you can only stand in a long line to see a tiny spot to look below. Real shame 😦 I understand that the cliff had to be secured but you cannot really see the epic view now.

National Marine Park Area and Cameo island accessible by the bridge during the day📍

Here you can spot turtles!

Gerakas beach is their nesting place. You can see the turtle marks on the sand and even a hatching turtle if you’re lucky.

Marathonisi Island is also a busy spot for the turtles but you cannot really see them in the water around. You can get to this tiny island by taxi boat or you can rent your own boat, there are also group tours.

Karakonissi is actually not a beach, more like a rocky bay with the famous formation that looks like a window to the sea 📍

Plakaki beach 📍There are long stairs leading to this hidden place and quite difficult path especially in hot season, but is definitely worth the struggle!

Porto Roxa beach📍

Sunsets are spectacular here!

You can rent an ATV and explore the whole island

Filippoi📍 Another place that is not easy to reach, but so beautiful

Mizitheres & Keri Caves 📍
You can see Mizitheres by the boat or from the view point, it’s an impressive white cliff. Around Keri caves the water is so blue that it’s unbelievable, the picture below has no filter!

Porto Limnionas📍

Fruits in Greece taste like sun 🙂 There is also many vegetarian and vegan options if you like. Greek cuisine is actually one of my favourites in the world, full of organic vegetables (some restaurants use veggies from their gardens on the back), beans and herbs.
